My name is Axel. I'm Mexican American, raised in Mexico City, living in Ithaca, NY.

Currently working as a Systems Integrator for Cornell's College of Human Ecology and doing contract work for small to medium organizations (more in /work). I'm also an NYS Certified First Responder and volunteer firefighter.

Besides computers I am passionate about /music and cuisine. The more I learn about the culture, history, techniques, and constraints behind food and music, the better I can appreciate them and share them with others.

I'm philosophically absurdist, aspirationally stoic, and a strong proponent of FOSS and local AI.

Designed to work on anything from an Apple Watch to a TV, and to be accessible to anything from a terminal to an AI agent. The core principles guiding the design were simplicity and flexibility.

Built using Fastify + Nunjucks to serve a plain-text version for terminals complete with llms.txt for AI agents, relatively light HTML for browsers, and PWA for curious mobile users.
